Effective Project Management, Line Management and Financial Management support tools should address, at the minimum, four critical elements of planning a Project, by helping them in the process with; the Proposed Project Plan's Development and understanding the Project Workflow, the negotiated Project Plan's Execution, and an understanding of the resulting activities, milestones, deliverables and Objectives of the Projects Stakeholder's.
The foundation for the requirements used in the continuing development of PMPlan Enterprise, is a complete Earned Value Management (EVM) Project Management suite of tools, based not only on providing the appropriately thought-through tools to support the general criteria of proposal preparation and project management, but based principally on the guidelines, the principals, and the key deliverable requirements for such development as determined by Industry standards, and by the U.S. Government agencies that have the lead in setting the Project Management EVM Standards.
PMPlan Version 3 will no longer be supported, as a much improved PMPlan Version 4 has now been released, and is available for upgrade in the following:
- Stand-Alone editions of;
- PMPlan Standard (a single user PM tool for Industrial and Government EVM Lite applications, meeting most of the criteria for the Project Management and EVMS guidelines of ANSI/EIA-748 and DoD-5000.2).
- PMPlanLT (a limited PMPlan Standard PM tool for very small business and student applications with limited size and reporting capabilities),
- PMPlanPro (a stand-alone single user application with additional functionality and capabilities, which may also be used as a seat in the multi-user Enterprise environment, meeting the Project Management and EVMS guideline criteria of ANSI/EIA-748 and DoD-5000.2 and the DCAA guidelines for proposal documentation and pricing).
- A Multi-User edition of;
- PMPlan Enterprise applications (multi-user server based applications for Proposal Workload Planning and Pricing, Project Management execution and Reporting, and Workforce Planning and Forecasting, meeting the Project Management and EVMS guideline criteria of ANSI/EIA-748 and DoD-5000.2 and the DCAA guidelines for proposal documentation and pricing).
